Fenders

Got a day of decent weather so I put the epoxy on the two front fenders.  Was going to do the hood too but couldn't find any help to lift it.  I'm happy to do it latter though because I was pretty stressed doing just the two fenders.  That's because I had noone to help with paint mixing and prepping, and guiding me to make sure I didn't get in the paint.

My blood pressure was really high last Friday night, 190/100.  And had some palpatations.  Went to the ER and they ran every test known to man for hearts, MRI, Cat Scan, Xray, neclear stress test, Echo Cardiagram, etc, etc, and said nothings really wrong.  They though I could have had a mini stroke but found no evidence so its possible it was all related to stress.  I don't know why cause I don't feel stressed.  It was funny because just that morning I was looking at something on the web for no particluar reason and it said if your blood pressure hits 180 you need to go to the hospital right away.  Mines normally around 130.  So when I went to bed I was feeling a little funny so got up to check my blood pressure and it was 190!  Yikes, I went to the hospital.  When I left the hospital the next day it was down to 160's.  They didn't seem too concerned at all but gave me some meds and said to take them if the pressure went above 150 after I was home for a couple days.  Now its back to 130 so I'm not taking any meds but watching the pressure twice a day.  I have an annual checkup in a few weeks so at that time I'll probably have to go on the BP meds as she's been threatening me for a couple years.  Anyway I'm fine but don't try to keep me to my schedule.  It gets done when it gets done.  I'll be taking more days off.

Anyway the fender that was new, the one in the photo, came out really good and it does not need to go through the pre-paint precess described in a previous post so I am thinking of taking it back off and performing the color paint process on it to see what the blue looks like and to practice with the paint.  I think it would be a good idea because I am not completely positive that the primer under the blue should be black like I am going to use or grey.  The black will make the blue darker which I think is what we are going for.  I would be good to know now before I prep the rest of the car with the wrong color primer.

I think after my dentist appointment tomorrow I will prime the bottom of the hood and then maybe figure how to do the blue.  Only thing is I will probably have to get some plastic and make a mini paint booth because the pollen started this week.  Its ok to get the pollen in the primer because it has to be sanded but I cannot have it in the color coat.  If I do try to get the color on that one fender for a test I'll have to store it inside until it is ready to reinstall in a couple months.
