One Step Forward, 5 Steps Back
Ugh...I have a problem with the epoxy primer where it was painted over bare metal. Thats the main body, drivers fender, two doors, trunk lid, and a few other spots. While I was sanding it to get it ready for the high build primer I noticed a few small pieces chipping off. I got my air hose and blew the chips away and found that the flippin paint just blows off with the air hose! This is more that frustrating. I thought I was ready for the next step of the high build primer and now I have to remove all that primer I have on and go back to bare metal. I have a ticket open with the paint people to see what they think went wrong mut I don't have much hope for that. I did paint when the temp was below there spec but the instructions said it would just take longer to dry, not that it wouldn't stick so I don't think thats it. For some reason it seems to have stuck pretty good to the roof. Didn't do anything different there. Who knows.
