More Painting
Got the underside of the hood painted black.
Also got the two fenders done. These came out pretty good but I tried something different and got a couple runs to fix after they get mounted back on the car. No big problem though.
I was going to do the color coat on the top of the hood and the header panel today but found after starting to prep the header panel that it had the bad epoxy issue so I have to strip it back down to metal and re-epoxy it. So after thats done later next week I'll setup and do the hood and header panel and then all of the removable panels will be ready to reassemble. Now I just need to finish sanding the main body, apply the high build primer and get it all smoothed out. Then if I can find a mexican I can do the color coat process and the car painting will be done except for wet sanding and buffing. Hopefully after the wet sand I won't have to repaint anything. The danger with the wet sand is sanding through the clearcoat, all the way to the blue. I will have to sand enough to get the orangepeel and the bugs and dirt out and if any of the problems go all the way to the color coat that panel has to be repainted using the same process as it was originally painted so it comes out the same color.
I'm working of getting the dash finished now that the rough wiring is in. I tested 95% of it yesterday and alls well so I'm going to preceed and assume the rest is OK. To do this I have to complete the installation of the AC unit by installing the vents and running the hoses under the dash. Then trial fit the dash panel, mark holes for drilling, then hopefully it will all fit and I don't have to make any major changes to the stuff under the dash that is in the way.
After that I will go back to painting and finish sanding the main body and do the high build primer and sand that. At that point I'm in a holding pattern until I find a helper with brains.
Saw the cardiologist today and he said I don't need the pacemaker yet and probably not soon but I need to keep stress levels down as my bloodpressure is borderline. They can give me medicine to lower my blood pressure but the medicine lowers your heartrate also and mine is already slow. 44 at rest. So if I need the medicine I will probably need the pacemaker to speed my heart up to compensate. I dont want to do that so I need to be careful and not get into situations that are stressful.
