Its Blue Again

OK, we are moving right along now.  The car is blue again.  The blue coats went on very well then I applied clearcoat.  Two coats this time, per the directions.  I used different gun settings then before also.  Sprayed real well but I did get several runs in it.  I was very stressed about that but after working it for a while I found how to easily get the runs out.  My method is contrary to everything I see on the internet and my method works and is fast.  Therefore, I believe I've invented a process that should be patented so I'm keeping queit on how I do it.  There is no evidence of ever being a run in the ones I fixed.

I did not paint the entire body over, which turns out to be a mistake but I think its turning out real good.  The areas I masked over areas that I didn't want to paint got white primer paint left over after I removed the mask.  Again, I was guessing this might happen but for some reason was hoping it didn't.  I have those spots fixed up mostly.  I may have to do more work on the windshield channel..we'll see.

I am ready now to cut and buff the car now.  All the orange peel, dirt and one fly are sanded out.  I will start that this morning and am hoping will will finally done with this paint job tomorrow.

Here's where I'm at today.

This is ready for buffing to bring the shine back...hopefully!  You can see the tail panel is one of the areas I didn't repaint and some is still shiney, some was sanded and will get buffed today.  Its going to be a beauty.
