Waiting
The car is all re-primed with white primer/sealer, sanded and ready for the blue basecoat. This is different then how I did it the first time. Before I painted over the white 30 mins after it was applied. This is the method the paint company prefers because you get the most adhesion by applying the next coat prior to the first one fulling drying. However, as I learned, if you are not a pro, and I'm not, and if you don't have a paint booth, which I don't, you have no opportunity to fix any issues in the sealer coat. I my cast I found if dirt and dust get into the white sealer then when get a spec on the paint and normally you can fix that in the cut and buff phase but if the sealer is white, when you do the cut the dirt pops though as a white spec in your paint. With a dark primer/sealer you wouldn't notice this, but white you do. This is the issue I have with the two doors. Not sure it I have to redo those at this point or not. I'm waiting until they are installed to seel.
So I have the body sealed in white, all the dirt and dust sanded off, sitting waiting for a good day to finish the blue. We are in the middle of a tropical storm right now so maybe tomorrow if it clears. Can't have wind or high humidity to paint with no booth.
You'll see no streaking in the sealer like I had the first time that caused the blue to appear streaky. The things I do for my daughter to keep her happy.

And believe me this daughter appreciates everything and I mean everything you do for me!! I know this was an awful job to have to redo and I know everything will be so amazing with this car that is made with lots of love! ❤️ I love her and you! Thank you!!
