Worst of Winter is Over
Now that is warming up again I can work in the garage. I have completed the glass installations and the exterior window felts are in. This was a bear as the parts did not fit and I have to extensively modify the felts. This was a 3 week project off and on.
I worked on the timer that delays the cranking during start to give the EFI system time to get the fuel pressure up and prime the manifold for easier starting.
Here are pics of the windows. I am very happy how the alignment came out and think I will spent time on my own Chevelle to get those windows aligned better now that I have figured out better how to do it.
I will be updating the schedule this week to try and figure when this will be done so stay tuned for that. This can be access by the link on the homepage.
Currently I still have painting left to do. I have the header panel, hood, and two quarter panel extensions to paint still. I hope to get those done this week. I am really frustrated with the paint which is why they are still outstanding.
After I complete the car witht he exception of the bumpers door handles and some exterior trim I am going to have to make a decision about what I going to do about the paint thats already on the car but I think a good share will need some work. I still haven't gotten the car out in the sunlight but will need to do this to make the decision.
Currently I'm working on installing sound insulation on the interior and then carpet. After that its the interior door panels and seats. The rear seat needs to be recovered first.
